Liquid Ecstasy
Liquid Ecstasy is the street name commonly used for gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), a central nervous system depressant. Despite the name, it is not chemically related to ecstasy (MDMA). It is usually found as a colorless liquid and can produce relaxation, euphoria, lowered inhibitions, and drowsiness. At higher doses, it can cause loss of consciousness, slowed breathing, coma, or death, especially when combined with alcohol or other depressants.

- Drowsiness and dizziness
- Impaired coordination and memory
- Risk of unconsciousness and respiratory depression at higher doses
Risks:
- Overdose can occur with relatively small increases in dose
- Dangerous interactions with alcohol and sedatives
- Potential for dependence and withdrawal
- Has been associated with drug-facilitated assaults due to its sedating effects
